What We Did Today 

We completed a graphic organizer about the changes in states of matter as a group. We then started to read about the behavior of gases. Students were also given a study guide for Thursday's test.

What happens to molecules with an increase in temperature?  What happens to the volume?  What happens to the pressure - more or less collisions?

 

What is the Law of Conservation of Energy?

 

What are the phases of matter?  Know the terms relating to what causes the changes.        (use the phase of matter chart)

 

What is the result of a chemical reaction?

 

Know examples of vaporization.

 

Compare and contrast boiling to evaporation.

 

Know the clues of a chemical change.

      Know examples and explain what happens.
