What We Did Today 
Hours 1, 2, and 7: We corrected 1-16 from page 40 and started planning how we are going to separate the mixture you were given.
 
Hours 5 and 6: Students read pages 34-38 together and completed worksheet 1-4 in class. They were also given the worksheet "Physical Properties of matter" to complete as well.
 
Homework 
Make sure that you complete the rest of the chapter review if you have not already done so. On page 41 you were to answer 20-24 in complete sentences.

Tomorrow, they will have the whole hour to research - you might want to bring a flash drive so you can work on this at home at a later date.

Today we asked questions about why things float. After a lengthy discussion, we discovered that things float due to their density. We determined the density of floating objects and compared them to those that sank. We then determined that the density of water is 1.0 g/mL.
